busy weekend, with shows on friday and saturday, both at clique.
on friday i played 4|4. kfrey was keen to hear the sound of bassline, and i was happy to accommodate him. the crowd seemed to like it too, so i'll definitely be playing more. (incidentally, that flyer is photoshopped lite-brite pictures taken by me. i didn't do the flyer itself though.)
on saturday, lbe hosted Disko, a little party of electro and disco music. that one killed, too, with jamie of missed connections making his clique debut (and a great one at that!). the medic also brought the tunes, but disappeared quickly to catch up n sleep. i don't blame him!
this week:
wed: i'm playing over at the southgate house opening for my dudes in Grand Buffet. that one will rule.
Benzi rocked it at JUKE!, the monthly dance party at Clique that brings national party dj's to greater Cincinnati to join our own awesome dj's in dropping the tunes.
i've had a bit of an annoyance as far as updating my shows list here, on myspace, and on last.fm.
i really like using the last.fm events, as they're very intertwingled with other shows & bands, etc., and it's quite simple to use. the myspace system, on the other hand, is easy to mess up, and not very user friendly. my own blog is quite simple, but without a lot of work will never be as linkified as last.fm's system.
so, my new decision is two-fold: first, last.fm is the clear winner, so i've made a post on the gigs page with links to my various projects (for the time being just the current ones; future one will of course be added).
the second part is myspace. in reality, i don't really know that the shows feature in myspace does much. i think the bulletins may be successful in bringing people out, but i don't have a lot of faith in the shows feature itself. so, i have a few in there now, but i think that i'll just have a link to my shows.
so, yeah. to all three of my subscribers: there you go! wait i think i'm one of them. crap. ;)
